I know. It's been a few days (...weeks, months... ok a year) since last I wrote. I'll get on that. But every now and then your kid has the best conversation with you and it must me shared. This one was a bit longer then a facebook post. I took the little two to the pool last night. It is their favorite thing to do now. On the way home this conversation happened with Icky:
Icky: Dad is it possible to love someone more?
Me: More then what buddy. More then you did before or more then someone else?
I: More then Before.
M: Yes. Who do you love more?
I: Claudia (this is a friend of his from Hawaii)
*few seconds pass*
I: Dad do you know who I'm going to marry?
M: Who Buddy?
I: Claudia.
M: What is it about Claudia that makes you want to marry her.
I: She is Nice........ And Fun...... And she is beautiful to me.
M: Those are good reasons.
I: I just don't know when I can tell her. It's Harder know because we are here and she is in Hawaii.
M: That does make it more difficult. But you will find the right time.
*a few more seconds pass*
I: Dad, I think you are stubborn.
M: (a little shocked by the change of subject) Why do you think that.
I: You know the Dwarf king from Eragon (the audio book our family is listening to right now)
M: Hrothgar? Yeah I know.
I: When you yell your voice sounds like him. And he is stubborn.
M: I guess that makes sense.
I: and now you know two things.
And that was it. I love conversations with that kid.
